Can age spots be removed with any home or natural remedies?
Age spots are also known as liver spots and solar or senile lentigines. They are generally harmless, being just yellow or brown discolorations of the skin. They appear on the back of the hands, neck and on the face in people over the age of 40. They appear due to prolonged exposure to the sun over the years, or they can indicate a liver condition or deficiencies in diet or nutrition.
There are quite a few natural remedies that can help in the battle against age spots, such as: apple cider vinegar which can be used even on the face. It should be applied to the spot and rinsed after a few minutes, but mixing it with onion juice might have better results.
Lemon juice is another common home treatment for age spots removal, by dabbing a little juice on the spots as often as possible during a day.
Aloe Vera juice and gel is also effective against age spots, all you have to do is to rub the juice or gel into the sun spots, twice a day, for 45 minutes.
Castor Oil has been proven to change the appearance of these age spots by rubbing it onto the affected areas of the skin, twice a day, in the morning and in the evening.
There are many more natural remedies that include buttermilk and tomato juice, watermelon rinds, cumin seeds (boil them in water, wash face and hands leaving it in for 30 minutes), garlic paste and cucumber juice.
